My Tamora's battery went flat after just over a week without use. Now, connected to a fresh battery (thanks to SEN 18 for the assistance), the thing won't start.

No matter what I do, the red immobiliser light stays on. Turn the key in the ignition and it behaves as though I've forgotten to to turn off the immobiliser – I just get the humming and dash lights, with no engine cranking.

Instinct tells me I've got an alarm/immobiliser fault, which possibly flattened the battery. Is there a way to reset the alarm?

Passenger footwell, remove carpet and you will find a 100A? fuse. Disconnect fuse, leave for a minute or so and reconnect. This has happened with our Tamora after a bat flattery and what I describe resolved the issue.

Cheers for that. I'll give it a go when it's stopped chucking it down out there.

Well, that's fixed it. Unplugged and replugged a few random wires, and everything's sorted.

Big thanks for your help, Daftlad.
