Discussion
Does anyone know the owner of an orange tvr sagaris (54 plate i think)who was racing white my evo 4 today on the way to edinburgh.
what a beast. it sounds like a machine gun!
we were pretty level but at higher speeds the tvr was gradually pulling away. im getting coilovers so i dont have to slow for corners too!
makes me wish i never sold my tvr lol

excuse my ignorance but what are 'cut out slots'?
Do you know if Rich had his decat a done at Dreadnought?
Am getting use to the Saggs style now and need to beef it up a bit. Two black stripes, DAB ariel and a decat sounds just the jobby!
Rich if your down Dunfermline way pop in and let me have a listen.
Cheers!

The fake sloas in the wings are now real slats with injection moulded industrial rubber inserts.
His de-cats were not done by Dreadnought, they were done by my company.

Any idea if the owner is willing to share some photos? Or whether it's likely to appear in Sprint like her T400?

Ask Mr Janwell on here!

Probably worth being a bit more careful with the titles in future - as with the tunnel run video issue these are very public forums
I've been a bit out of touch with PH recently, so I must have missed this. Can you point me in the direction of the threads (if they still exist?), or explain what happened?
Cheers
A story appeared in the local Kent press one weekend about 2 months ago. I picked it up one an off glance at the front page of the rag whilst paying for some petrol on a Saturday morning I think it was. The words were about cars speading over the QE II bridge and through the tunnel. The cars mentioned were I think Escort Cossies and other stuff, however they had pulled images and vids off YouTube and they were of the TVR Tunnel Runners. As I was on the road at the time and not near a computer, I rang those numbers I had and warned them what was hitting the press and if they had any pics or vids of them on line doing anything, legal or otherwise, it was probably best they pulled them offline immediately. If for no other reason than the story was bound to be picked up by the wider press and investigated more thoroughly and in that case having anything on line that might your head above the radar was probably an unwise idea.
The story then did get picked up by the wider press, made the BBC news, headlines and Sky news. The BBC also ran a story about some family who lost a family member through speading or some such. In classic ph style, 95% of our esteemed population missed the pt entirely and mostly complained about how the family story was innacurate, the YouTube vids and pics were of cars not matching the words in the story and how hard done by drivers were again, BBC bias, etc. Simply that showing yourself having fun in ostentatious outrageously fast motor cars and presenting yourself as an easy target for any cheap shot passed most by. In this image conscious,pr story, 15 second soundbite world, the rights and wrongs are invariably irrelevent, it is the perception that matters.

Thanks for explaining DJC - it sounds like another typical sensationalised example of this American bastardised land we call England.
also..... "murdered him, even when the turbo kicked in"
i think not.
very close, yes but murdered, no. my evo is rediculously modified and although its really a 0-60 beast it held its own against the grunt of big cc's and a better longer box. the sag has 380bhp? mine has 360 (280 standard and its a '96 car). like i say he was pulling away at high speeds. but...what a machine! from the second i saw it i wanted it. ive never seen one before and its soooo good looking.
(i appreciate i drive a tin can with less class than a marsai whore and an appearance of the highest level of boyracer scum to come out of the local housing scheme but it does the job i want it to.)
