OK, bulb is fine. The light comes on very occasionally, but when it does it goes off as soon as I take the pressure off the gearstick. Where is the reverse switch, somewhere accessible I hope as I nearly reversed into a shopper last night cos he didn't know I was reversing!

Mine has a dual-function, acting as a gear-change light, to notify anyone behind me when I have changed gear - pretty sure it's a bonus feature

Somewhere very inaccessible I'm afraid. Take it to a garage - 20 min job max.

Surely it's under the Trans. tunnel, which looks like it just unscrews and comes off revealing a simple rocker switch that requires adjusting (ha)? Does it?!

Had to do mine recently. You have to remove the cover to gain access as the switch sits on top of the gearbox, first take out the two screws either side of the transmission tunnel, remove gearknob, bend out cover from back between seats, you can then lift the cover up just enough to gain access to the three 10mm nuts around the handbrake lever which have to be removed more by feel than anything else. I found with mine that when you selected 5th gear the switch should fit into the elongated hole that is cut out on the linkage (didn't with mine to start with) now works fine hope this makes sense took about an hour.

I've had to remove my reversing light bulb as I found the light was on in 5th as well as reverse. I attempted to remove the centre console but was told you have to disconnect the hand brake to allow you to remove it? I've told TVR Power that they can do it for me next time the car is in there as they gave it back like this after the new engine and gearbox!
