Hi there, i'm in the process of looking at a TVR and just wondered if anyone had experiences with Harrogate Horseless Carriages and what your thoughts were on them for servicing and buying a car from.

many thanks

Excellent dealership, particularly the service end. Honest and sensible, and always willing to advice. Not cheap, but they are a main dealer and will sort out problems efficiently.

Personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after my experience with them.

Due to the name & shame policy PH runs I can't write what I want, but if anybody would like to know please drop me an email.

I found Gareth, service manager, excellent, always approachable and always willing to advise, which led to my recent purchase - didn't buy from them btw . Body-work guy seems knowledgeable and a genuine enthusiast also. Less impressed by the dealer principal. My car is booked in there for major service in a couple of weeks, so we shall see.

My T350 is in there for post-purchase problems.....
I'll let you know how I get on and whether there's a bill or not!!

They've been very nice so far......
Oh, and I think they're a bit pricey, even after you negotiate 2-3k off sticker price!

I've been a customer of theirs for 20+ years so I guess they must be doing something right.
The service guys have always been very helpful whenever I've had problems.
However, since Nigel sold HHC to DriveStyle I can't say I'm too impressed by the sales side of things. I got the impression they didn't care too much once they'd made the sale.

I would agree with KMPOWELL. HHC nice when he was taking 55k off me! Sadly went down hill very fast from there onwards.

Heyup mrundercover nip down to Henley Heritage you will get a good car, and will not get screwed their Trevors are well sorted.and there are no Arthur Daley types in their sales department.

Update as promised...Drivestyle/Harrogate Horseless Carriages..
Gareth, Jim and all the guys at the Service centre - fantastic set of guys. bow
Sorted my post-purchase niggles, gave me a free courtesy car for 3 days (55-plate Fiesta!)
Happy to answer all my silly TVR-Virgin questions!!!
And.....No payment required.

Phil from Sales probably a bit fed up with me by now, but he is adamant that looking after customers is very important to him...time will tell....he still 'owes' me something!!
