ok I've been good but I need to let off steam, Tammy is at the garage having her fuel gauge sorted once and for all, and the fuel tank is out and they need a couple of clips to fix the sender unit back in. But after 6 weeks there is still no sign of the spares coming down from TVR Power.

I know it's not the lads fault at the garage(RG)but after the superb nice weather in March we had, I'm now getting just a little bit frustrated with no Tammy.

I'm not giving up just needed to get it off my chest.

ps MOT due in May may get them to just keep it till then at this rate.....

I do sympathise, it's just this sort of thing that may well swing me away from long term TVR ownership.

I keep finding myself looking at Exiges on autotrader rolleyes

Can they not put the tank back without the sender in place?
Its not essential know how much fuel you've got in the tank.
I rode bikes for years that didn't have fuel gauges. Once you have an idea of the fuel consumption. you can work out what you have in the tank from the trip odometer.

Don't ing ing tting get me started.

TVR power still have my instrument pod after 6 ing weeks!!!!

And my indie garage won't give me my Tam back because the warranty claim has been settled in advance.

I'm extraordinarily ed off with both.

That Maserati Spyder is rapidly growling its way to my door but after 20 years of owning TVRs I'm a bit reluctant to let go.

Maybe my rose tinted specs are slowly turning clear.

apparently it is the clips or fastenings that hold the fuel gauge in the tank.......

Richards various...Im rapidly sorting a solution to the Pod ups. T'other Richard, fuel tank clips and Argos? Lost me there, what have Argos got to do with them? Do you need just fuel tank clips, or a sensor, do you think they are specifics or have you been told they are some random thing you can get in a catalogue? Sorry m8, well confused here!

Gary...Im guessing the infamous "Malmo windscreens" didnt happen then? Let me guess, you were told they would be here in 2 months again?

Our windscreen investigations went cold I must admit, they dropped down the priority list, sorry! I will look at them again.

Just sold my VX220 Turbo (as in 45 minutes ago).
Was thinking about going back to TVR, but all these extended waits for parts is a bit worrying.
I just could not cope with waiting months for a part.

So can David Gerald get parts for Tamora pods - 'cos Power clearly can't.

Yes - I may have to.

But mine now has the revised design LCD screen which should prevent loss of lines on the display.

Unfortunately, the newer LCD panels have a different backlight setup as well and that's what is causing the delay.

A 2nd hand unit will probably be the older type and I'd prefer not to have this problem again so would prefer to stay with the new type if possible.

But you could buy a secondhand one and plonk it in the car so you can use it! Then keep it as a spare/sell it on once your original one comes back.

That's a good idea scratchchin I'll look into it.

What I really need is another Tam as a spare - they're pretty cheap at the moment!
