Hi Guys to do my Headlamp HID upgrade I need to remove and refit my front wheels- does anybody actually know the momentum for re fiting them- as not in service manual???

Also found out that the contacts to fit the jump start lead are completely rotten- any idea where to get one from (I know Leven Tech does the Leads but who does the contacts???)

Halp as always is greatly appreciated

cramorra,

Yes you will need to remove the front wheels, I’m not sure what you mean by ‘momentum’ but I jacked the car up from the main chassis rail where the wishbone picks up.

HID’s a well worth upgrade!!!!!

The battery plug on the near side front wheel is known as a ‘Anderson’ type plug (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ANDERSO they are cheep to buy, I think you would need to replace the cabling going from the plug to the battery as well. Have you tried to use come contact cleaner on the existing plug terminals??

Make sure you well grease/Vaseline up the new plug, will prevent corrosion in the future.

If by momentum you mean torque for the nuts I found this:

SP said:
The "official TVR" torque setting is 65 lbft. The generic standard for a M12 untreated stud/ nut combination is 75 lbft. Coated threads (such as Dacromet) affect the clamp load transfer so normally require different torque levels - this may be the case for Shiny Nuts (stainless steel) hence their figure of 80 lbft... maybe this should be investigated further, but then it wouldn't be "A Quick Question................"

Thanks for the replies guys...

Yep By "momentum" I ment the Torque on the wheel nuts- as have standard nuts will probably use 75 or 80 then (I asked the question because my dad saw his wheel going in the ditch in his rear view mirror- b4 he saw the ditch himself, that is- so I wanted to be sure it's going to hold- but after tight comes loose as we say- so better use exact settings)

Will get a new Anderson- type plug, then and defnetely anticorrod it (no chance to do it on the old one as the pins have fallen out once I only had removed the cover eek)

Thanks again

and to the fellow T 350 owner it's not a RR but great fun driving it

because it cost more!
Honestly, I have no idea i have one and allegedly the exhaust is louder (good thing but not really essential on an already loud standard exhaust and i have heard a few other aftermarket exhuasts that are louder than mine), improved brakes? and different suspension (although mine still doesn't feel as planted as i would like - at high speeds i get less and less feedback)

I did hear rumours that some were lighter because they were built from a different type of fibreglass or something.

In fact its pretty much an invisible upgrade.
