just wanted to share the 650 mile experience i've had in the tamora this week... so far. london to oudenaarde (belgium) on monday morning starting at 5.00am. clear roads, good weather and only 1 speed camera........ after getting off the train in calais that is!
a hard week's work (well, 4 days actually)in between, then a drive from belgium to darlington last night to stay with my dad for the weekend. the continental leg was a pleasure in fine weather and the car didn't miss a beat in all the 450 miles. being stopped in the outside lane of the m25 for an hour with engine and light off at around 8pm was slightly annoying. still don't know what caused it, as there was no sign of an accident.
got the 270 mile leg back to london on sunday evening, and i'm looking forward to every minute of it. driving the tamora can lift the most gloomy of moods, and refresh after working very long days. and to cap it all, the interest it gets in the carpark abroad is all positive, though i find all that a bit embarrassing.
somewhere, and somehow, these machines have to be produced again. ideally in the UK. the company should have a slogan.... maybe something like 'just do it'. or has that been done?
