Hi guys,

I've been lurking on these forums for a while and have used the search facility to find most of my answers already. I'm looking at a T350 or Tamora. I've read on many posts and adverts about the TVR gold warranty, is this direct from TVR and can it be applied to any TVR, if not where do you guys suggest I get a warranty from. I've come from a 911 Turbo so am fairly used to big running costs how do TVR's compare in servicing costs ect.
Also is there any recalls/engine rebuilds I should be aware of.

Thanks in advance.

would suggest reading some of the posts in this Forum - there are many others who have been steared down the TVR path. Sorry it's not a specific reply but there is allot of good info here, from lots of fellow TVR owners and even the fixers...

If the car you're interested in is more than 3 years old, and from a dealer, then the dealer will quite happily sell you a completely new 12-month warranty as part of the package (nice guys that they are!) and this will be totally independent of TVR the company. I got one from Harrogate Horseless Carriages with my T350 with a £4000/claim limit (helpful for any major problems eek ) and no number of claims limit....

You have two choices with a car older than 3 years -
- pay for a warranty or
- get the car at the right price and budget/save a contingency fund

i chose the former as I'm not so good at saving!

The TVR warranty seems to be a bit hit and miss at the moment as to who will honour it and who won't.

Good luck finding your TVR - smiles/mile there's no better value for money car IMHO.

Hope this helps
Spike
