Guys,

My normal size plate came off early in the Millau
trip and never stuck it back on, did notice that
ventilation to the cabin was better...

So I am gonna stick a small plate on there now
and maybe puts some chicken wire in the gap
to protect the radiator from large objects.

Anyone done this and can recommend a company for
the plate ?

thx, gt.

You may find this information useful for the legal size requirement for number plate:

Have a smaller plate fitted from fancyplates and a black ali mesh grille. All works well. Think the grill was from toys 4 cars.

I used to have a motor bike sized front plate with legal font for which I was never stopped, and it certainly helped cooling. the alternative might be to risk a stick-on plate.

So you can get a fine and points if you deface the plate, but I'm told that that its not actually an endorsable offence if your plate is just missing i.e. its just fallen off officer, see its in the car with me.

I was hoping to find a plate half the height so as to
fix to the existing plate mount width....
