Makes such a nice difference- especially when warmed up the car sounds so much better without getting too loud- but now makes all the pops and bangs on the overun again wich you would expect from a TVR...and makes on call work and leaving @ four in the morning a bit less painful...
Thanks Kurt for selling me this

for a fair price
(although I would have considered selling the Girlfriend instead...

I have a standard exhaust on my Tam, and I am tempted to put a sprts exhaust on, but just a bit concerned it might be a bit loud on long motorway runs.. Just returned from 1400 mile trip to Dordogne region, and it was pretty noisy on the motorways, with the wind noise etc, so surely it would be worse? Any thoughts?
Also, read on here before that the exhaust can be changed fairly easily, if so, any reason why I couldnt just swap back to the standard pipes if I'm on a long run somewhere??? Guess it would need to be up on ramps to change?

Easy to change Ian, about an hour the first time, 1/2 hour once you've sussed it out.
Its not too loud on long journeys, we did 2000 miles to Le Mans, then Germany and back last year, no problems.
Go on....you know it makes sense!
Hi Oliver,
Really glad to hear you are enjoying it!
I must admit I did feel regretful on the day it was changed back to the standard exhaust. The garage dropped me off in my car and roared off and I stood there balancing out in my head "relationship or exhaust". It was a close run thing.......

iv just had mine de-catted aswell as the tvr power sports pipes which were on when i bought it and its reeeediculously loud, it bangs and shoots flames on over-run.
thinking i might change the sports pipes for the jp as iv heard it gives a nice note but a bit quieter.
de-cats rule by the way!

Thinking of having mine de-cat. Has it affected the performance?
The JP exaust is on the cards aswell. I've herd it and it sounds deep! lush!

Ask bobdylan about the combination of decat and JP exhaust. That's my ex-Tam he drives, and it is, well, loud!
Edited to add - I'm off to JP in a week or so to get them to fettle my SL55 AMG exhaust. Looking forward to that!

I only know that TVR Deutschland offer an exhaust which acc to them boosts power- I cannot say about sound but I know it's rear facing and comes with a custom made diffuser as the TUEV does not approve side pipes in Germany (unless you are Daimler Benz that is- note MC Laren- unfair world...)
I do not know if they have published rolling road figures or similar but they are a friendly bunch and will happily give you info...
