Similar smiles per mile, but with a reasonable hair style on arrival.

Build quality is far superior on tha Sag. Are these engines still an issue or did they get it sorted by 2003/4/5/6?

Sorry to hear your Tamora build quality wasn't very good. When I bought my Tamora I had a look side by side with a Sagaris and the build quality was very good on both (2005). So I chose the Tamora as the roof off option was my preference.

Hope you enjoy the Sagaris!

Im not saying it wasnt good but there were basic things that spoiled the car. Door and boot lid rubbing against body, glove box lock was a poor design. Roof was poor in my opinion and for £37k it wasnt put together well enough. Whereas the Sag feels like its built by Porsche. The Tam did however go like stink :-)

I should also add that it was a 2002 model, the 05 Tam is probably a better build?

Hi Joe,

So how are you getting on with your new toy - is this it by the way?

Incidentally, my old Tam is back on the market having had the 3.6 replaced by a Tuscan 4.0 Red Rose...

Hi Jimmy,

Yes thats the one, in the same colour as your old Tam. Hasnt got the beautiful mulberry leather tho. Its black with red trim :-) Im very impressed with the Sag m8, to put it mildly its brutal and also insane. Build quality very good too.

I'm thinking of a Sagaris too! One concern is the ground clearance - have you grounded out the front or back yet? How does it drive compared to the Tamora (I also had a 2002 model that was moderate build quality!)

Its so different from the Tam bud. Handling is far superior, obviously its quicker and better build than an 02 Tam as well.
The Sag I bought has been raised 10mm but is still very low. Havent had any probs yet with ground clearance but give it time.

Must admit I am thinking of changing from a Tam to a Sag. I do love the roof off motoring with the Tam, but I LOVE the look of the Saggy. Apart from the handling and slight acceleration difference, what else is the main difference? Is it worth the change? Cheers.

There were a few things I wanted that I didnt have on the Tam. I wanted a newer car, better build quality and air con. But I wanted to stay with TVR having briefly thought about the prancing horse. One other bonus with the Sag is I found it a fair bit quieter in the cabin that the Tam. For no other reason that its a hard top. I can honestly say it feels as solid as my Boxster S but lighter and quicker.

What Ive learned about the Sag is its the same deal as a 911, a Ferrari or an Aston. Its a car that you must own once during your life time.

hi we changed our jordan f1 racing yellow tam in march for a sag. cannot stop smiling, what a fantastic car.the tam used to drag on the garage floor as the drive has a sharp incline,so was dreading taking the sag home for the first time.but guess what the sag did not even touch the floor,so no prop.so go for it you no you want to.kiefh
