Rhos on Sea bizzies pulled me whilst parked up, as rear number plate illegal. Had it made the correct size by fancyplates, but should not have shadow lettering not TVR Tamora on it. My front one was in the boot as having cooling problems, he wasn't too impressed with that either!! So no fine but told to get it changed, yea OK. N. Wales police, don't you just love em.

What have you got to complain about? The rules are quite simple so either follow them or just accept it if you get caught!

Haven't they got anything better to do! like catch real criminals, not people who pay insurance, road tax and have Mot's. Obviously they were killing time, waiting for the local kebab house or take away to open. Rant over

I got collared for this when I had "S5E YA" on my car with obvious illegal spacing.

The bobby came up and said "Beautiful car but change the plate".

I had a bit of a rant about it being ridiculous and SEE YA was far more memorable than S5 EYA if a law-abiding citizen such as myself decided to use it for criminal purposes.

He ended up agreeing with me and sort of mumbled that he had to go somewhere.

I agree that some of the fonts you see are almost unreadable and those are the one's that should be targetted. Common sense says its just a bit of fun and its perfectly legible.

For those who say the law is clear and you stick to it....well, the national speed limit is 70 and I'm sure you obey that just as religiously in your TVRs!

You're right, which is why when I get stopped for speeding I accept and rather than complain.

I understand that the issue with illegally-spaced letters/numbers is that they can't be read by ANPR, so who's to know that you're not a scrote trying to avoid being spotted by ANPR?

I think people are missing the point. If they had seen icb 'moving' they would have had something to put in their book....................
