Am very tempted to buy a T350 but live in London and don't have a garage. Spoke to a T350 owner and they said they would never leave it in the street as the seals can leak rainwater into the footwells.

If I got a decent cover would it be OK to park it in the street?

Any other pointers for a TVR novice looking to get a T350 with a 20 - 25k budget would be really appreciated.

With no cover on? Now that's music to my ears. One step closer....

Mine stays outside all year round and never had a problem (touchwood) with leaks. Would probably be wise to get a cover for when the weather is really bad though!
I think the tamoras, being convertibles, are probably more likely to suffer from leaks.

Hope this helps your decision!

Thanks, Holmsie. Enjoying your subliminal message. Not much encouragement needed now you are ironing out these small creases...!

Had a Tuscan and a T350 in London and street parked them both-no leaks. I have a Covercraft cover now but only because the T350 was marked by a couple of shiteads who were friends of a trainee mugger that attacked a member of my family and got put away-long boring story but the point is I never had any problems before this with vandalism either.

What he just said. Mine did leak until last weekend where a simple refit of the door seal came up trumps. These cars really love being used. Go for it.

biggest problem will be other fools not knowing how to park and doing it by touch.

Possibly agree with "more likely" but certainly wouldn't suggest that all Tamoras leak. Mine did when it was new but some work on the seals has meant that it's perfectly waterproof.

Agree that a T350/Tamora can live outside if used regularly....

I recall my Tamora never leaked when parked up but it flooded in driving down a rain soaked motorway at the top corner of the window. I am now looking to buy a T350 and hope that the hard top option makes this a thing of the past. As for a car cover, a damn good waxing should do as much good and less hassle!
