Was there a modification from early cars to reduce wind noise from the roof panels? If so, when did it come into play? Trying to decide if I'm better buying a 2003 car with very low miles or a 2005 car with average miles.

Targa Clips on the Front of the panel rather than on the side on later cars although i think there is a Mod that has been done by a member to earlier models which you should be able to find if you do a search under roof Panels
Also later cars had Sun Visors and rear loading cover + some mods to the cooling system.Even later models had different seats + the Glovebox sorted with a fibreglass unit rather than plastic.
I got this done on mine and its a much better fit and does not fly open!

i'm sure you can get most if not all of the cosmetic mods done relatively easily if you go for the older car. The question that i'd ask is regarding the changes made under the bonnet to aid in reliability post 2004/5. From what i can tell the general opinion is that the later cars were less likely to go bang. I'm also of the opinion that if i'd be looking to buy a tvr i'd rather have a regularly used car regardless of age rather than a 4 year old one with low miles. Good luck with your decision.

The later fixing mechanism is much better. Plus you get the other things mentioned earlier. Load cover is esp. useful if you plan on leaving anything in the boot on your travels.

A car with a 2005 build will have various minor tweaks (TVR developed their cars over time). If you're looking at 2 cars and can't decide between them in terms of condition/owner/colour etc then go for the 2005 car. Remember, you can only purchase the wear and tear warranty for cars under 5 years old (or the same warranty without the w&t option is under 7 years old). A 2003 car will be 5 next year.

Some good points! I also share the opinion that cars are often better for regular use opposed to long periods of standing. The 05 car I am looking at has 10k on the clock which is not excatly high so my decision may be swaying that way. Cheers!

Mine are being modified at the minute, following a little incident.
Will post on how effective they are soon as I get them back.
