But you've got an extra 15K in your back pocket.

it looks great, nice colour...I just wouldnt pay that for it !...you could have a real nice used one with 15K on the clock for £10K less...from a dealer...nicely run in and all niggles sorted wink

Agree..but...if you can comfortably buy it..get it!!..maybe depreciation is best ignored....these will be rare beasts.

These are rare beasts. A 2005 car with those miles at a dealer is worth a look and a chat - if you want something mint and low mileage.

In general, if you want to spend some 10K less and get an above average mileage car thats probably not in the same condition then something like this is not for you. Personally if I were in the market, I would look for the most pristine car I could find and preferably with low miles.

Do peolpe really buy cars with their heart and then consider depreciation as a deal breaker scratchchin

So if it was the car from York advertised at £40k then its a fair bet the dealer bought it in at a few bob less than that.......thats a fair old margin for 'dealer peace of mind'!!!

not at all...ive lost a fair wack on cars that I buy with my heart wink

...I just couldnt get my head around a 2 year old car only losing £5K ...if you bought that car 2 years ago and took it back to the dealer a week later youd be lucky to get that for it

..anyways...I hope the market holds up that well for when we come to sell ours ! ..anyone fancy a 15month old one with 14K on the clock in good nick for say £40K ? wink
