My air con isn't running very well at the moment, I've been playing with it, adjusting the rheostat in the passenger footwell, checking all the temps in the "hidden" menu on the dash. It just doesn't work very well when stationary and the car being up to running temp. I think it may need re-gassing as the compressor is definitely on (pretty much constantly I think).

Can you really get the air con re-gassed at any air con place? Looking at the car for the pipes etc. it looks like they are all hidden under the drivers side headlight and look to only be accessible by removing the large gromits in the wheel arch (below the headlight gromit thing). I don't fancy letting any old garage hacking away at my car!

You can get it regassed at any air con place, they are fitted with standard connectors, there is one each side of the engine bay. I have just had this done although it has not helped any for me. I think I'm getting hot air mixing with the cold air somewhere, apparently there is a panel in the nose cone that prevents this but that's all I can find out so far.

I wonder if it is the same on later T350s as on my very early (Jan 2003) T350C? I swear everything looks well hidden on my car, not in the main engine bay frown

I had mine done last Summer, its only blowing hot air again !! Could this be the compressor, or is it to soon have died already ?

Re-gasing may help should be around £50-60. I had a similar problem last year on my Tuscan turned out the air vent wasn't closing properly to shut-off the hot air - upon investigation it was found that a piece of foam was stuck stopping it closing this involved having the whole box taken apart. It is now working perfectly. Otherwise the vent motor maybe broken? Finally, the AC units stop working for a while when they start to overheat so maybe it is knackered/overheating?
