Rear diffuser / valance mounting?
Discussion
Hi,
searching through the forum I found two different methods of mounting the rear diffuser. Both have 5 screws in common: 1 behind each wheel, 3 accessible through the holes. Additionally, there seems to be an attachment to the exhaust mounting towards the front.
As my T350 does not have the front attachment, can anyone describe this or even post a picture?
The diffuser or exhaust is still hitting the tank/boot floor at high speeds (starting around 100 mph). Another alternative is replacing the rear exhaust hangers - the hitting noise might also be the exhaust hitting the diffuser
Thanks
Konrad

I take it your car is an earlier model?
Mine is a 2003 and did not have the front mount either therefore diffuser hit the surrounding components when I was driving at 'high speed'.
I called in Racing Green, they gave a me a bracket to fix on the front of the diffuser. Very easily done - drill some holes in the diffuser and attach the bracket to one of the exhaust system mounts.

When you take the rear diffuser off glue a strip of 6mm rubber 150mm wide across the bottom of the fuel tank and this will stop the tapping noise when the diffuser hits the underside of the petrol tank. That's what I did and have never had a peep out of it since. Use pink grip.searching through the forum I found two different methods of mounting the rear diffuser. True, I forgot to mention - it is a '03 model. Thanks for the replies.
I'll have look under the car and take some measurements for fabricating a bracket on thursday (bank holiday in Germany). When mounting the bracket I'll also replace the screws with stainless ones

@Mark: Thanks for the rubber hint - I prefer to have the diffuser fixed in place. A friend of mine was following me on the Autobahn and was quite amused by all the movement he got to see
.
Cheers
