How can i stop my boot catch rattling when i go over bumps? has anyone else experienced this?

when i press on the window it moves inside the catch and i guess its that............advise would be much appreciated as its starting to really annoy me...

Have you tried adjusting it? The bit that latches can be moved up/down.

Wind some soft insulating tape around the peg which sticks out of the lid - not too much though otherwise the catch will not click into place. This worked for me.

Undo the bolt mechanism on the glass with a pair of grips and then retighten it in a position so the rear window shuts tighter, i.e. slightly higher up the glass. I always shut mine really gently and then latch it by leaning on the glass right where the bolt is.

One more option-as if you need it-you can use the heat shrink tubing used for wireing.Maplin have the right stuff-about 10 mm width pre-shrink.Five minutes with scissors and a heat gun and you have a very effective fix that has lasted 2 years on mine.
