Is it worth the AA taking a look??
Discussion
When driving home last week I noticed that my T350 didn't feel quite as smooth as normal and the engine was a bit rough, at the same time there was a smell of petrol from the exhausts (more than normal and not just when cold), by the time I got home and parked up the exhaust fumes were pretty nasty.
Speaking to the dealer it sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders although without looking the cause is unknown.
The question is, when I get the AA out would you let them take a look at it first (maybe save it going back to the dealer), or just get it relayed back to the dealers straight away? What are peoples experiences with the AA fixing engine problems?
The car was only serviced in Feb, and I'd only just got back from a 500 mile round trip down to Devon during which it didn't miss a beat!!
Any info much appreciated......

Just a thought.... This used to happen in my old Tuscan when I'd used crappy petrol...
Yep, could well be although I made sure while down in Devon I only used branded stations, and higher Octane when available. Also I'd driven almost a full tank (down to about 10 litres) before any signs of problems. What was the immediate fix to get it running ok again with your Tuscan??
cheers
