Sports exhaust for T350, anyone fitted a Blue Flame exhaust

Hi all,

As you will see from an earlier thread I have bought a pearl white T350T and the first thing that I will looking to do is fit a sports exhaust of some discription, want is the best one the fit and how difficult is it to fit yourself ? also I had a Blue Flame exhaust on my Cerbera and I am a big fan of the sound, I notice the one is avalible for the T350 and was wondering if anyone had fitted one, if so are you happy with the sound ?

Congratulations on your new acquisition!

Tried a set of Blue Flames on the Tuscan about 18 months ago. All I'll say is I had the standard cans fitted back on within about 15 minutes.

Come and have another listen to my car, that has Racing Green/TVR Power sports exhaust, and it sound brilliant, i believe the boxes (2 small silencers) fit the T350 as well, contary to what all the Cerby girls tell you mate there ain`t that much in it performance wise compared to your Cerb

General opinion is the blue flame sports exhaust doesn't look right on the t350 as the tail pipes come out at an odd angle. Preferred choices are a JP system or one from Power. The latter seems loudest, whilst the former has one large silencer box (like the OE) which some think is aesthetically better as it fits the space in the rear splitter better (the Power system is two, smaller boxes)

Personally went for JP and I'm not complaining but only because it was 2nd hand on here. Both systems are a doddle (with some leveraging) to fit.

I have the power ones and they sound amazing. really low and deep then when revved they howl n rasp. tunnels are a must with them. I followed a new 911 through this tunnel in cumbria i let him go ahead a bit so i could get a little run up for the maximum noise, only to discover he was waiting at the other end to listen to mine coming through. As he turned right at the end of the tunnel i went straight on and his expression was head tilted back mouthing "oh my god". I laughed all the way home.

Actually I quite like the look of the T350 Blue Flame exhaust with the pipes angled slighty outwards, and have seriously been thinking about ordering one. Definitely not as loud as the JP or Power/Racing Green one (sorry have to say these are too loud), but provides lots of pops and crackle on the overrun, which is what I'm most envious of with other TVRs. And you don't get the gaping hole look as it retains the full size silencer box.

WTF, Mark, what have you been up to. Are these of your design? I cant see any silencing in then at all, how do you get past the DB limits on your track days?

Hi,
I have the Blue flame fitted to my Tamora which is exactly the same as for a T350 (it is the black tamora demonstrationing it on their site), If it's loudness you want then don't get the Blueflame, It's just slightly louder than standard but gives the pops and bangs on over-run, I prefer this rather than JP ones etc, They can be a bit annoying on long motorway journeys when the roofs down for me. The Blue flames come with a removable baffle you can put in when you do want to quieten it down. I like the fact you don't see many cars with blueflame exhausts, makes it a little more different than following the rest of the sheep. Whichever you choose you wont be dissapointed.

The ends unscrew Gary for the silencers. I (touch wood) dont have to many problems on track days as I never go over 2500rpm on track

Its a good tool for stopping idiots tailgating, dip the clutch rev it to 5k and there windscreens fall inwards

I have a pair of said Racing Green/TVR Power exhausts I'm about to put up for sale. They are in 'as new condition' having only been on my Tam for approx 5000 miles.
I'm looking for £200 squid for them, which is a bit of a saving over the £440 that Blue Flame want.

Can I ask why you are back to the standard pipes? Too noisy perhaps? Reason I ask, I am in a right dilema whether to or not, concerned about the excessive noise on long trips. The blue flame pipes seems like a possible comprimise.

Honestly, the JPs aren't excessive. Not being 21 anymore, I too wanted something 'safe'!

I live on a very quiet, very narrow street. I (currently) got on very well with my neighbours!

Yes, they are too loud for me (an old git).

I might have know there would be a super fandango whizzy thing there Mark, top score for that one. Did you try different size pipes, or just std bore for these?

Just been to Haywood and Scott for a system on the cerb, and there at 101dbs at 4000rpm, so I might make a track date soon that has restrictions. Just need the dyno and map to sort it out once and for all

I have these fitted and yes they are pretty bloody loud.But then they are just so much fun through tunnels and I find above 3000 they get less 'heavy' and nicely raspy which is even more fun.Bit boring on a long run though.

Fitted the JPto mine as I DECIDED THE POWER EXHAUST WAS TOO LOOOOWD you got to remember you will want to do some miles on motorway the note is too much.

I did a lot of re search before going to jp and it is loud enough ---frightens little kids and old girls,when in over run ,rev the car and you get the old blue flame out of the back.

but seriously for all round driving it's good.
