Just replaced the fuse for the alternator. I was going to get it done locally but after reading the tips here I did it myself. A bit of a fiddle for the first time but now that I know not so bad. I have had two fuses go now, the PAS and this one, not bad I suppose in three and a half years. I probably saved myself a bit thats for sure!!

Whats involved in replacing the alternator fuse after the airbox top is removed?
The alternator fuse is in a black plastic rectangular fuse holder (with a cable tie wrap around it) on the red cable between the starter motor and the alternator. You can just seeit on the photo.

After replacing the 100amp strip fuse and charging/starting making sure the the battery is charging on the the display before putting the box back on. A warning ' EFI fault 4' will appear on the display: this is because the air temp sensor is not connected and will not re-appear once re-connected later.
Hope this helps

What's the point of this fuse??!!! Mine went in a queue, 300 yds from the Le Mans camp site. Bypassing it springs to mind...
Spoke to my dealer they are now fitting a 150 amp fuse.Had the same problem recently checked fuse (Fine) turned out to be a broken "Fuse Holder"
