If I didn't own a T350 already I'd be going for a Sagaris now. OK, the roof doesn't come off and its got a fat ar5e and a silly roof bulge (I'd like 2 bulges please), but it is the British thing to do. Actually the English thing to do smile

After seeing Daftlads and Keiths recently, they are very appealing in the right colours.

Since this is a slag topic I need to get an evil smiley in too: evil

Actually I liked the red on the Sagaris.

Anyway, my T350 is ace too. Its a bit like choosing to spend the night with Angelina Jolie or Kelly Brook. I don't think I'd feel short changed either way. The Tamora is more of a Kylie - tres nice, but I don't think I'd be quite so fulfilled by the morning hehe

Whos car is it anyway wink
The Sags a much more accomplished car than the T350 TBH in terms of how it handles britains uneven road surfaces, not so good on speed humps tho.

I test drove a Sagaris after a T350 having heard how it was a 'different world' and a 'new level' of TVR chassis design........ to be honest, I only noticed a marginal difference. It had better steering (less twitchy) and a harder ride which would be nice on track but the big question is ...... is it £10k better to drive? The extra performance is also marginal on the road.

I speak from good experience my man after having two T350s and the Sag, the Sag is a much more accomplished road car than the T350, less twitchy? yes alot less twitchy, the front end is much more assured than the T350 even with nitrons fitted and at 120 leptons + the sags so much better planted, Never tracked either but 3 secs quicker round that top gear test track is a country mile. 10k? well you pays your money and takes your choice.

Also im sure on your test drive you didnt push the Sag to its limits unless of course you were on track wink

Personally id say its definitely 10k better, still love the T350 though

Glad you're still enjoying it Nick! The suspension is different in a few details, I've found the T350 needs all of the sticky track tyres, stiffer springs and good dampers of the Sagaris to become similar, but still it admittedly doesn't ride as well as the Sagaris (probably particularly due to Sag's long rear bumpstops, which start working very early).

On track there is little in it as you're at higher revs, beyond the lower mid-range torque of the 3.6. IMO the Top Gear times were not strictly comparable - different drivers & conditions & especially the tyres. On the hills and sprints it's been pretty even when full revs are unleashed smile

I looked at that car last weekend, it must just have been sold in the last few days. It was a very nice car and a good price. The only thing that stopped me buying was the colour combo that I found a little bit boring (I know, I'm a fussy git!!!)

Can you afford to be fussy?

There seem to be lots of people looking for an ideal car (colour, spec, miles, age). When will people realise that there are only a few hundred T cars/Sagari in the world. There are no more being built. Some of us have no intention of selling, and the number on the market will probably fall over time as more are bought by long termers (as opposed to finance monkeys).

Prospective owners - a 2005 car is v v v v similar to a 2006 car. If you don't like an interior spec then get it retrimmed. Its not that expensive, and the result will probably be higher quality than the original. Wheels can be repainted and blemishes can be tidied. Bid low on a car that needs work and pick up a (relative) bargain.
