Ive found these ratios for the Cr box listed in another thread

Close Ratio Gearbox
2.43:1
1.56:1
1.24:1
1:1
0.8:1

just wondered if anyone can confirm.

Also the add in the classifieds for CR gear set has a different set of ratios

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/163049.htm

1st 2.25 : 1
2nd 1.171 : 1
3rd 1.34 : 1
4th 1 : 1
5th 0.8 : 1

the one listed for 2nd must be wrong.

Just wondered what people thought

Nick

Does any one know the top speed of a close ratio box and a 3.91 diff combined.

Google 'gear ratios' and you should find a spreadsheet calculator which will give you the answer. Std box/std diff has a geared top speed of 196mph. Yeah right, not even off a cliff - we have nowhere near enough power to pull that speed (need 100hp more). Moving to 3.91 diff and std gearbox lowers the top speed to a realistic 176mph (might be 1-2 mph, going from memory).

I believe 5th is geared the same on both boxes ... so the above would be true.

Hi Maxx, I emailed Targarama. He managed to source a place, Topcats Racing in Westcott, Bucks. They can get the parts no problem, so they are going to do mine as well.
