OK I am touring scandinavia. My dipped beam has gone out on the left. With the help of the dealer we have tried varous things, but none have worked (checked all fuses, the bulbs, the relay). When i test witb a volt meter no voltage gets to the dipped bulb on the nearside. Any one got any more suggestions. Its a real pain driving without a good set of lights in scandinavia.

cheers

Just dipped beam, not main beam? Tres odd. I'd guess at a relay problem.

How about taking a wire from the other headlight's dipped beam feed? OK, this requires some work I know...

Do you have front driving lights/foggies? Can you use them?

Hang on, June in Scandinavia? Drive North. Problem solved smile

We have had the 24 hours of day light experience! Very cool. Washed the car at 11.30pm in full day light!

Dont think the option of running a wire is feasable, but next time I do a trip like this I would seriously consider something like that!

Off to germany tomorrow, so no need for lights apart from the rain!

Whereabouts? We're heading to Germany tomorrow too - Munster, then Cochem (Eiffel Mountains, near the 'ring). In the Golf GTi though this time.
