Hello all,

this week I had my first appointment with the TÜV. Although it took eight hours, the result was not positive. My T350 failed the emission and the brake tests weeping ...

I need new brake discs and pads now. I'll try to get them in Germany and I already found out about the pads. I don't have any information on the discs, except they are 304 mm and 282 mm in diameter. Does anyone know a manufacturer and part number (I assume they are AP Racing, but I'm not sure)? The complete dimensions would also help - the car's already at my local garage waiting for the spares, so I can't take any measurements right now...

Thanks

Konrad

I'd suggest talking to tvr Power, they helped when I needed to replace mine. There are 2 different disks and 2 sets of pads depending on what is on there (I'm thinking the difference was scalloped or not), I'm guessing you looked at the FAQ at the top of the forum for the info you already have..
They are AP Racing, but tvr has / had the rights to the disk / pad combo I believe.

Did it fail because the brakes were not powerful enough, or because of corrosion on the disks?

Front disks are only available through TVR Power in Coventry.

I'm having my Tamora discs upgraded to Tuscan S discs next Saturday, that means I have a spare set of used Tamora discs up for grabs.

This will be the route I will go when required, for my T350.
What size are the Tuscan S discs?
Also any idea as to the price?

Hello all,

called TVR Power, but they only had the rear discs. RaceTech direct has all of the discs in stock; so I ordered them.

Trefor, the discs have grooves and were failed by the TÜV because of the wear pattern frown.

Ian, thanks for the offer clap, but having been failed by the TÜV once already (a waste of a lot of money), I'll have new equipment all over.

btw. Checked with the garage: my T350 has standard discs, so my size guess was correct.

Cheers

Konrad

Are you doing rears also? I ask becuase its not VFM and it upsets that cars balance. If you have the option, I would go fronts only.
