dropped my t350 off at london tvr last night for its mot but noticed a persistent farting noise, not unlike a trumpet which lasted for approx 10-20 secs after i'd turned the ignition off? i assume it may have been the fan? turned ignition on temp went up to 110-115, turned engine on again temp went to normal 90-93...any ideas anyone? thanks in advance
Probably the petrol tank venting I would think.
Try gently releasing the pressure from the petrol cap and you will know if that is it.
Mine did this and when hot it would go on for ages. I now always release the pressure as it gets a bit weird if you are working near the car with the strange noises going on.
Could be wrong of course!!
Pete.

thanks for your advice/reassurance, it passed the mot 'just' though as emissions were borderline,so they tuned up the engine, i picked it up last night, with 3 litres left in fuel tank, filled it up, was running beautifully then about to turn in for home and engine started cutting out and 'pulling',i.e. pressing throttle with little response...then response etc at low revs...?secondary to gunk in fuel line?throttle pots?? taking her back anyway for another look
