Yes i was going to take part this year, however there is a slight issue with the engine. Still not 100% what the issue is so i had to withdraw last week, next year i will be entering the the Sagaris hopefully with a few 'enhancements' which will make the car a lot more competitive!! The feed back from TOTB was that it was a shame as this would have been the first TVR to compete in their event.

When I had my S2000 I attended and saw the kind of machinery that takes part - once up against the 'rice' competition it would get blown into oblivion. Active YAW, TC, Stability control etc etc all help these Ricers achieve the incredible times. A Sagaris is all about progressive power which none of the events include. The 0-60 it would be beaten off the line by a tuned ricer with TC etc; Top Speed it will be hindered by it's aerodynamic brick-wall that it hits at a certain speed; and on the sharp twists it wouldn't have the low down 'usable' power.
Go to the TOTB website and have a look at the videos from previous events - there are some SERIOUSLY tuned EVO's, Scoobies, Skylines and Supras that could easily match and destroy a Saggy.
With an event like TOTB it's all about 'usable' power, which in a lot of the circumstances a Saggy (or any other TVR for that matter) simply doesn't have.

Yeah i agree there is some very serious cars that take part in the event, however the cars that take part certainly arn't my 'cup of tea' as i personally like to drive the car not just more or less press a button & hang on, with all their Star Wars technology it would be interesting to see a well 'sorted' Sagaris come up against the ultimate Japanese brutes etc. Yes a standard TVR including a Sagaris would be destroyed no doubt especially in the top speed run. additionaly there is no way i personally would turn up in a event like that without having the appropriate stripes & neons. Unfortunately my Sagaris has only 'neons'! at the moment but once the 'stripes' are installed i am certain it will surprise a lot of the Kamikaze Jap machines & the Luftwaffe German contingent. End of the day there is no way i would attend just to make the numbers up plus i know against the ultra cars i wouldn't stand a chance. What i like about this event is that there is very few British cars involved it seems a bit like the film 'Zulu' there is no way you can defeat the opposition but just give your all & see what happens. Its quite ironic the times i have been to trackdays over the years in the company of 600bhp Skylines 4-500 bhp Evo's & Subaru's they all got walloped & that was in a Tuscan S with a mere set of Pirelli Corsa tyres! Most impotantly TVR's have took a bit of a battering recently the main reason i wanted to compete just simply to show that we are still around.
