Just been quoted £900 to have the complete front end done by paintshield, wasn't expecting it to be quite as expensive but suppose its cheaper than a front end respray every 12-18 months, have heard that this is superior to armourfend.

How much for the full job Mad? And what does it do to the lustre of the paint job? Do you wax it? Does it come up nicely? You know, cosmetic detailing type question...

The beauty with this stuff is that you can polish it as well. you can get a really nice shine on it. here is a pic:

as for prices call tom at paintshield and i'm sure he will do a deal.

i also had the wing mirros done and the sills and the rear splatter guards done as well.

When you say 'full version' what do you mean exactly? I looked on the website at the T350 set and it only seemed to go half way up the front of the nose. Does your solution cover the whole of the nose and wings?

Thanks for that. Certainly looks good on your car!!!

I need a respray first - looks like my front end has been the victim of a drive by shooting!! So the big question.. What did you have to pay for 'full version', including mirrors, sills, rear arches etc.?
Probably gave you discount if you're the first, as they like to have a guinea pig to get the cuts/profiles sorted...

They have a website....
http://www.xpeleu.com ... you can also type in http://www.paintshield.co.uk to get to the same place.
I see they have the full version for the T350C now on the website if you use model year 2005, TVR, T350C - doesn't show the bonnet as part of kit tho?
Would imagine the same profile/kit can be used on my 2003 - TVR didn't change anything did they between 2003 & 2005 for the T350C?

Cheers
Spike

I've had a Paintshield fitted to the front of my Tamora. Great job and cost £450.

A must have extra for any TVR is Paintshield.

So have they doubled the price of this in 2 years from £450 to £900?

There were 2 options. Mine was the cheaper of the 2. When they explained the difference between the two I couldn't see the added value of the more expensive option.

Might be worth checking if there are the 2 options for the T350. Hope that makes sense!

I have painsheild on the Saga-Lout. Front cone, sides and rear wings behind the wheels and the rear spoiler.

It's first class and has stood up to a fair bit of track use without any problem. I had waht was vailable at the time, but next year will probably repair the few chips I have above the nose protection and get something that goes up to the bonnet.

Excellent product, lite years ahead of Armorfend IMHO.

Actually in Square footage terms it has come down by 40%!!!

We do nearly four times the area at twice the price full front means everything forward of the A pillars, anyone want to put up the price the factory were charging for Standard kits before their demise?? smile

Cheers

Tom
OK Tom, that's great news!
Now, please keep the price the same as it is today and you can guarantee one T350C on it's way to you for the full treatment once I can afford my re-spray (probably post-winter, after the gritting lorries have finished!).
Cheers!

Ooooooooo right - now we've got the top man involved I've got a question or two.

1. How soon after a respray can you put the Paintshield on?

2. Is it OK on light colours? My Tam is Lazer Blue which is very light.

Wasn't complaining about the price btw - I'm fully intending to get this done on my car at some point.
