hi all,

when wash car or happen to leave outside and it rains,i tend to get water in boot from what looks like the back

ledge as the water seems to be collecting on the little ledge by fuel tank pipe.

has anyone else had this problem?

if so any ideas on how to fix!

thanks in advance.

jason.

Open the boot.

See the big holes on either side of the hinges.

You can see the road when you look down them.

Stick your finger down them about 3 inches.

Feel how they suddenly change from hard grp body to mush.

That's a TVR junction that is.

I suspect the CAD programme never got that far into the body design.

Or maybe Mutley or whatever his name was that bit the Chimaera clay mock up front lights bit the connections off.

Anyway - where the drain tube joins the boot interior there is erm air. Water gets in and drains to either side of the tank.

You need to seal it up with silicone rubber.

They call these running repairs BTW.

Each TVR I own it's like a new challenge finding all the unfinished design niggles and fixing them.

Love it.

Had exactly the same problem on my old Tam. After a while the boot started to smell a bit pongey (like smelly old socks). Anyway, I took the easy route and bought a car cover thumbup
