sagaris oil pressure when cold?
Discussion
First off, tickover is too slow, should be 950 to 1000 rpm when hot.
This should bring oil pressure up to nearer 10psi which is more like it.
Also the reading is not actual but via ECU, if possible get a propper wet test of you oil pressure by a deccent garage.
10 psi per 1000 rpm hot is a good guide figure, but there seems quite a bit of variation from car to car.

hi,just bought wittys sagaris, love it but oil pressure reads very low at tick over ie 2-3 psi, every time i stop at lights etc the waring buzzer goes off. tick over is at 650-700,have had other tvrs so i know of problems.but its just a bit of a worry,is it normal? thanks
Get it checked out doesn't seem right.Tickover has big influence get it to 800-850 (with aircon and heater fan off)
Oil; if its 0W-40 in hot weather i think its too thin
Sender unit can have air locks/ unreliable on eartlier cars
