After having my car for nearly 2 years I have never managed to sort the rattling out from under the car on tick over when the car is cold. I have the engine mounts check there fine put spacers in you name I think I have tried it.

I have it up on axel stands at the moment and I am considering just removing it.

I know people are going to say dont do it but why not ?

Have you checked the exhaust system rattling against one of the cross members? This was the cause of a rattle at idle that I had but is easily solved by lifting the system slightly via one of the hangers which is adjustable

you need a more noisy exhaust then you wont hear the rattle.
