Just googled them, they look like a savage tyre. Visually Very similar to the toyo R888's. Not tried the ones you mentioned but i can say the R888's are incredible. used them on my old evo8 and it felt something mechanical was going ot snap before the grip gave way. I'd imagine thye rears wouldn't last long on a T350.

Hi.
I have used r888 all winter for testing/setup on the race car. An awesome tire. I had yoko 48 on the chimp i had for track days, also a gr8 tire, personally, i would buy the toyo as they are good value. One of the other racers from challenge sells them. Check out www.tvrmonster.com

Hope this helps.
Regards

Sam

I use them and R888 on my Elise. the best road legal track tyre Ive tried, but I dont use them as a road tyre as theres no real benefit and downsides of they dont clear standing water and only come with 5mm of tread from new.

On my Elise I can get through a set of rears in say 3K road miles with 1 or 2 track days ...if I was trying hard I could get through them in a day on track frown

Also bear in mind, if you are on standard suspension then the increase of grip, under hard cornering its likely you will hit the bumptstops - so you need some Nitrons or suchlike with increased spring rates and set the car up accordingly (more camber to get the A048s working)

So if its a track car, or you have 2 sets wheels n tyres then they are great, but I wouldnt only run them on the road - you will be cacking your pants at 50mph in the rain on the motorway as you aquaplane through puddles that normal cars are sailing through at 70mph !

Yoko dont make a tyre that fits you rim if your running 18". Thats why Toyo is the flavour......

they are really good on a damp track - its just standing water they dont like...theres dozens of Elises/Exiges been written off over the years by owners that didnt grasp the limitations of these types of tyres ....the lighter the car then the worse the effect frown

Have been running A048s on a Tamora with 16 rims since R'ham med/hard compound and pd £119/tyre. Excellent grip and controlled slip once warmed up and reasonable in wet. Track day at Knockhill couple of weeks ago in dry (rare day) car managed 2 hours of track time driving and no issues with 340R having difficulty in keeping up. Toyo and Dunlop were quoted as more cost and long lead time so happy with the result of yoko's. Heavy rain and posing days use 18" with F1 Eagles fitted. Tyres from Wheels Around, Perth often found around Northern Tracks.
