A while back...er...so long ago in fact Ive forgotten when I asked about it, but I suspect at least 8 months ago...I kicked off an email to a mob about Carbon Ceramic brakes for the Sagaris. I knew that TVR had done some development work on these...well actually I knew that TVR had done some, lost quite a bit of the data and then forgotten they actually had any data and more importantly actually still had a car running the brakes. So anyway, I knew they were doable and possible and enquired about them.

System ST have literally just got back to me in the last hour with a reply at last!

This is the reply:

David,
thank you for enquiring about System ST carbon Ceramic brake rotors for your TVR Sagaris. I must appologise for the delay in responding to your enquiry but we are just finalising the way in which we will support the TVR owner with our ceramic brake technology. This is due mainly to the changes at TVR with whom we were addressing how to best support the potential after-market customer. We have still not finalised our approach, but it is most likely that TVR Power of Coventry will be our gateway to this market. I will write to you again within the next day or two with more information,
thank you again for the interest you have shown in System ST carbon ceramic brakes,
best regards,

Im sure some of you will find it of interest. When I was doing my initial research I came to the conclusion at the time that the damn things were bloody expensive from the manufacturer and I wasnt personally convinced of the advantage to a road user of them for the price unless you were really upping the oompf of the engine and wanted to spend relevent sums on your stopping power.

Anymore info they send me Ill pass on to you chaps. Im not totally sure where the Carbon Ceramic equipped Sagaris is these days or even if it still exists/has the brakes, nor how much data gathering either these guys or TVR Power have done on them. I do know who did a lot of the initial data gathering at TVR though and who then subsequently ran the car almost as a daily runabout for a while and so has the best feedback on the system smile
