Taking the T350c for its service this week and it will most likely need a leaking Shock obsorber replaced. I've been advised to always change these as a set, is this correct?

Obviously my wear & tear warrantee will only cover one, how much will I be looking at to replace the other one?

Thanks

Correct. You must replace both dampers on an axle if you are using new. You can replace singularly if using s/h parts of similar mileage. Consensus on here is that a complete upgrade of OE is a wothwhile investment at some point. Plenty of choice: Gaz, Protech, Bilstein, Nitron, Ohlin ranging from about £700 - £2k.

At the other end of the spectrum, I have a REAR axle set of OE dampers/springs ending tonight on ebay, currently at £10. They might keep you on the road immediately and give you a chance to follow up the pros/cons of the various upgrades. FYI I went for Bilsteins and new Eibach springs and fitted then myself for ca. £700. I didn't feel my driving needs warranted the more expensive track biased set ups.
