accumate possibly others conenct up to the adaptor / port behind the passenger wheel which saves taking things apart to charge from a flat battery.

I Believe the accumate is a Charger and Conditioner so you can keep it hooked up for long periods of time without overloading the battery.

I use an Accumate, works a treat. I've just got back from 3 weeks away and the green light is telling me to go out for a drive tomorrow. Can't have anything getting in the way of our driving

I work on the rigs so am away fr weeks at a time. I use the Optimate III and my battery is always in perfect condition. Note I conenct it via the cigarette lighter socket using the connector that comes with the Optimate. Its quick and easy to use but many people don't realise you can charge it this way.

Interesting, my Sag is outside so linking up to electrics is tricky---so it's ok to plug it into the ciggy lighter and leave??

I've done this for the past 3 years with no problems (same before that with my Chimaera). Parked in a garage though.
