Every single one of those roads (and lots of better ones) are part of the FB5K Alpine Tour.

You ought to try Spain - they didn't mention it 'cos they haven't been - but there are some roads in the Gredos Mountains and the Picos which are fantastic. The road from Merida to Talavera de la Reina is also brilliant!-some of us TVR chaps are going to give them a bit of further exploration next Spring.

If you time the journey well then you'll find the roads as clear as that, even at the height of summer.

Absolutley not! Roads in Spain are wider and no-one drives flat chat into hairpins on the wrong side of the road with no idea what's coming. Those shots on Top Gear would have been carefully set up with lots of guys on walkie talkies telling the drivers when the road was clear. If you want to redline it in hairpins there's a great circuit at Guadix and we'll be there too!
