I have owned my cerbera now for 7 years and the costs have been £2K - £3K per year. Sometimes more when I have upgrades done. Just lately though she has been rather poorly. More so in the last 10 months than in the whole of the 7 years of ownership. The time it has taken to get fixed has been a real pain. I use her as a daily commute and the inconvenience has become unaceptable. I am considering an alternative and the only real players would be a Z06/Z07, RS5 or a Sagaris. My question is would a Sagaris be more reliable and have less running costs? Many Thanks

In my experience the Sagaris will be more reliable and less expensive to run.

Also do you think the supply of parts would be better and more reliable?

I know.....and now you have that Marcos thing to worry about!!

Parts supply I don't see any difference between a Cerb and a Sagaris.

The advantage of Cerbera ownership is the ability to mend your car with kleenex!

In 3rd year of Sag ownership. First year had usual spate of new TVR niggles largely down to quality control all fixed under warrenty. Since then two services and one unscheluded trip to the garage to fix a non-opening passenger door (another electical problem). Averaging less than £1K pa garage costs, plus normal running costs.

Had a Cerb last year and cost me a fortune to run and upgrade. Got a 14 month old Saggy a year ago and never looked back. Much cheaper and loads more reliable.

Ok it's a newer car, it should be! but I just got sick of fixing them little niggles every week. And this car handles a lot better.

Thanks Guys. I was beginning to think nobody had owned both or the post wasn't interesting.
Each time mine has gone in to be fixed, it has taken longer and longer to source the parts. And everytime I pick it up, I tell myself I should sell now before the parts dry up and i am left stuck. I ask the owner of the indie each time whether I should jump ship now and save myself the gloom. And everytime he tells me not to because more and more suppliers are producing parts for the cerbera. I assume because of the number of cars produced there is a high demand for parts.
My question therefore is because there are only a 100 or so Sags produced is there a parts supply issue? If i jump, I do not want to be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. The cost of a sag vs what mine is now worth would be a scary thought.

Most parts on the Sagaris are shared with the T350 and Tamora (apart from body mouldings and some suspension bits obviously). Plus the engine is shared with all Speed Six cars. It isn't any more special than a Tuscan 4.0L engine.

Fine. Multiple places to get your engine rebuilt and all the other bits.
