Tried to buy a new (old type) F 1 but could not find one any where, 255/35 x18 for the sagaris. The new F1 Asymmetric has been top in both EVO and Autocar tyre tests, but will they work on a T V R . I used to run ( on a Chimera) Bridgestone 2 and changed to their new tyre and personally i did not think they worked so well. Any way it looks like 2 tyres have have to be bought, but what make?

Don't know about the sagi, but I'm currently on Falken 452's on the Cerb and I am very pleasantly surprised at how good they are considering they are supposed to be a 'budget' tyre.

You're absolutely right to be careful about changing tyres. My Toyo Proxes T1S's wore thin on the T350 and I had to replace them with Toyo Proxes T1R's. The difference was frightening, and even after 4000 miles in them I'm still not happy.

Check out some other threads using the search option, maybe search for Goodyear, Bridgestone, Toyo, Falken, Dunlop etc. and see what people's expereinces are. A few of the tyre manufacturers make several very simialr tyres under different brand names.

Someone said the top of the range latest Vredestein is an excellent tyre. Whether anyones had it on a TVR is another matter. Damn shame the T1S is discontinued!

Hope this helps

Well the Goodyears F1 Asymetrics seem to be going down well everywhere, on front and rear wheel drive cars. I'd give them a go.

I heard the Eagles were more prone to tramlining than the Toyos I'm currently running T1S's.
Whats wrong with the T1R's ?
Think I'll just get some R888's and hope it stops dry rofl

Might be worth getting in touch with Goodyear direct. I had the same problem a while ago when I needed 1 GSD2 and they couriered one from Germany directly to my nearest outlet.
