Well I'll be the first one to call you a ladyboy smile

Each to their own, TVRs aren't for everyone so I doubt you'll get any hard feelings from this forum. Howver, bouncing and jumping because you're getting rid? And getting into a Clk Diesel? You need your head examining hehe

Was it an impulse buy! jester
I know what you mean though, when it's wet and cold all you want is to turn the key and get where you need to be.
2 cars is the only answer really, or maybe a motorbike and a car.

I know you will be back someday soon. TVR ownership is just another addiction which will ultimatly end with you owning another one.

I had a 2001 Tuscan and got rid of it for a CLK a couple of years back. Within about 1 to 2 hours i regretted it like you wouldn't believe. Every time a Subaru, Evo, M3 or any other car for that matter pulled up alongside i regretted it even more.

I lived with my personal issues of regret, blame and anger for around a year but never quite reached the Psychological state of acceptance.

The only way i found to achieve the whole closure and acceptance thing was when i disposed of the CLK and bought the Sagaris.

Enjoy the CLK and see you again soon.

What did you expect? All the talk of bouncy happiness getting a C220 Diseasel in place of a Tamora. Perhaps we should all say "well done" smile

It is the same on any forum, people like to see loyalty, however misplaced.
You seem far too happy that the TVR is going, and, unusually happy for its replacement.

I'm sorry IANVRS, i didn't mean to upset you. What you choose to drive is as in most things in life entirely your decision and none of us has the right to say whether your choice is right or wrong.

What i wrote was purely my opinion having done it myself. However as we all know opinions are like Ar**holes and mine undoubtedly stinks.

Enjoy the Merc and i hope you comeback at some point.

Well you don't get your best china out and then eat beans on toast.

Sad but you will regret it, I'm sure. Why did'nt you keep the Tam and buy a 3 year old diesal instead, as your every day car. My every day car is a P-reg MR2 T-bar, which is good enough for every day driving, which leaves my Tamora for enjoyment.

Just sold my Tam and after 6 years of TVRs did not take decision lightly and at the moment regret it. However, as an everyday car, it was becoming too expensive to run, and need to save for me old age!! OK for people who can afford to run two cars, but some of us can't. Good luck wiv the Merc Ian, we can bomb round Frodsham in our German tanks.

I didn't think I could afford two cars, either.

After running the Tam as an only car for over three years I now have a 10 year old 1.9 diesel polo.

Cost next to nothing to buy, servicing & MOT cost me <£100 for parts and 50mpg on the commute means running both cars costs less than running one.

Havn't spent anywhere near as much time sitting in traffic in the TVR and have enjoyed driving it far more as a consequence.

Anyway. Hope you enjoy the Merc.

Just think Ian when your my age 63 you need a Tam to put some adrenalin back into a worn out old codger like me, and keep you feeling young at least a little.
Enjoy the Merc young man and be cool cool.
