Driving home after a blast in the Tam, I turn into my road on Harrogate (small loop road so no passing through traffic. Unfortunately my way was blokked by a car, the driver was talking to a girl stood by the side of the road.
What I found amazing was the car. Not only was it a TVR, (never seen another one on my road that wasn't heading to my house!) it was a Tamora and it was Lazer Blue, just like mine!
Had a quick chat with the driver, who said it wasn't his car but belonged to a company.
Now I'm sure I saw this car as Cars in the Park. The Reg is TA** ORA and it has had the headlight covers removed.

Anyone on hear know who's it is? (and if the young driver should actually have been driving it! hehe)

Hmmmmmm let me see.

I'm sure I know that car.

Lazer blue, no headlight covers, TVR Tamora reg TA** ORA.

Oh yes, I remember - it's mine.

I seem to recall leaving it in the hands of a well established dealer for a new radiator last weekend.

I expect the lad was just 'test driving' it.

God only knows what these people do to our precious motors when we are not present.

I'd be interested to know exactly where it was Tonto and if it was being abused in any way.

I have, in the past (not this dealer) discovered that the speedo sender had been disconnected whilst my Tam was in the hands of another dealer. Wonder how many miles he took to 'test drive' my car.

Man, if that was me and i'd heard some young( lol im only 24 mind you) lad was test driving my tvr unnecessarily. I'd be kicking a hell of a fuss up at the garage and probably demand the work done for free. My car before this was a highly tuned 270 bhp renault 5 and i once got it back from renault with the boost controller set to max (had left it on min) and i asked to see the manager and i got the work done for free.

Hi Richard, Sorry I do remember speaking to you at CITP now, just didn't remember your car in enough detail.
I can say that the guy was driving it carefully when I saw him.

I did get the impression that he might have been a little embarrased to be there,( although tbh my house is only 1 mile from lime street).
Im assuming that the garage in question is drivestyle.

Hi Tony.

Yes it's HHC sorting out the rad (under warranty btw).

I'll let them off as it's only round the corner from you.

Must make it a straightforward decision when it comes to repairs and servicing if you live so near the service depot.

Ahem, actually no! Just got my 12000 mile service done at Track V Road. Mainly down to price, but I'm very impressed with the setup over there and will be using them again.

Not really go anything bad to say about the Drivestyle HC servicing dept. They've always looked after my cars well. Its just that every visit ends up damaging my pocket!

BTW, the 'test drive' I witnessed must mean that your car is ready Sir!

Smithy... I can't believe you are 24!
I am 25 and was sure that I was the youngest TVR owner in the Country. I had thought you couldn't get insured on one until you were at least 25, no matter how much $$$$ you were prepared to chuck?

Nice to see another young-un anyway... Have fun!

V.Nice colour t350 you got there. I like the colours you dont often see. 1st tvr so yeah they were a bit cautious to say the least. Before that though i had a 480bhp sapphire cosworth rwd so i think they took that into account. I've had a right string of cars. Currently searching for a mark 1/2 escort with the cosworth engine and running gear. Was lucky enough to be taken out in one about a year ago and wanted one ever since.

Sorry answer was a bit sharp. I did own a cossie at 19 which was quite intersting, people would never quite believe it was mine.

Cyberhuss was only a nipper at 18 when he got his Tuscan!
Thought I was young when I got my Chim in 05 at 29 - obviously not though for some reason the only people I ever seem to see driving them are old blokes with beards!

Blimey I bet the insurance was a lot on the cossie. I had a boxster at 19 and the insurance was £3600.

Just out of interest how much are you paying on the T350 now?

Cheers
