hi just had a repair done to the leather to my drivers side seat on my tam, the seat has been taken out to do the repair and refitted , went to pick the car up today and the repair looked great but i can no longer reach the pedals ?, the seat wont go as far forward as it did before the repair ! the repair company will put this right tomorrow but just incase they dont know how, what do you think has gone wrong you would think you would take the seat out and it would go back the same way or are there different postions anyone done this before !

by the way because of the repair i had done today i thought all tams and 350s had leather seats ! and interiors, its not leather its a man made fabric to look like leather which is a great shame because it wont last as long as you would think did you know !!!!!!!!

Pyney, I have a similar problem with marks on the drivers seat of my Tam. Could I ask where you got yours repaired and how much they charged you? pm me if you would prefer.

Tams, T350 and Sags came with a variety of trims. TVR used Bison, Ambla and Leather.

My Tam had Ambla in it and as you say wasn't any where near as hard wearing as you'd expect. The T350 and Sag i have now both had / have full leather, bar far best option IMHO.

Agree about leather - had it fitted to my Cobra seats.

You will probably find they've just replaced the 4 securing bolts in the subframe one hole too far forward, an easy fix but time consuming - they should have marked the holes first rolleyes

thanks tailside for the info on the seat position,
T5GRF i work at enfield north london and used my companies local garage who use a car upholstery firm local to them for the repair to my seats they do "bmw repairs" etc, there are other companies out there im sure, the quality of the stiching and man made leather they have used looks great, the colour of the leather will have to be dyed down to get a better match but not a problem i'm really pleased i got it done i cant stand cracked leather ! i was quoted £150 to £200 + vat this was for two seats and the repair was on one side of each seat this i think is a trade price ill get there name if you wont, there is also a company in hoddesdon that do this type of work a mate of mine said he had used them before can get there details if it will help you

Just got my tam back fron having a full leather re-trim. Had the same problem with one seats.

You will find there is not much clearance between the seat rails and the seat fabric so if the fabric has been doubled over when glued down near the runners it can jam them.

Just needs a bit of adjusting with a knife and some evo stick

Ah, hadn't thought of that! At least an easy fix for anyone that has that issue smile
