Air Temp Sensor, where does it live?

For a while my external temp has been quite random see pic below:

I'm convinced it's the sensor and I'm looking to replace it, can anyone confirm that the Air-T Sensor is the sensor located inside front of the passenger wheel arch?

The air temp sensor connects to the top of the air filter (The big black box under the bonnet). Check that the sensor is connected.

I belive that is different, that covers incoming air into the engine and not the Air-t sensor which is the external air temp, unless I'm completely wrong, but the whole reason for the post was to get other opinions

The airbox one is the ECU air temp

Air T is ambient.
On Sag its drivers side just inside the outer vane on the splitter. The same loom is used so it must be there within 10" of mine, it just pokes through to the left of the rad looking from front.

Just get one from Clev trev, racing green etc there only a few ££ 10min job once you find it
