Tyre pressures: hot or cold

I'm running 24 psi all round and normally check these when tyres are cold. Is this reasonable, given that at proper driving temperature this means I'm probably running 25/26 psi? What do others do?

I always thought that pressures should be taken when cold. Although always wondered the difference in these v cold conditions, and whether pressures should be adjusted, because I would imagine the tyres dont get as warm.

I tend to check them cold, as normally you want to know they are ok before a run, not after.
