Badge replacement advice?

As a few of us have purchased new badges, has anyone got any advice for removing and replacing the front one?

In the badge thread there are some posts on using silicon and no nails to fix it with, I am just a bit nervous about getting the old one off.

The old one should be bolted on so you can just remove that and stick the new one on with whatever you like, i used evo stik liquid metal on mine.

Cheers didn't look that close to see it is bolted on... Thought it might be stuck on like many other marques badges.

On what car?

My t350 front badge was secured using double sided tape and not bolted on. Removal was easy, just heat up with a hair drier and peel CAREFULLY. Clean the area thoroughly, re heat and reapply. A sharp craft knife to shape the d/s tape to the back of the badge before fitting was also useful

Yeah i've also got a T350, perhaps another TVR quirk!

My car doesn't have the recess or metal part, just the black sticky part stuck straight onto the paint, mine is one of the earlier ones though. less fancy bits!

T350, I will investigate how it is fixed... too cold for the hairdryer at the moment.
