Wheel Nuts - Jacking

I tried to remove the wheel from my T350 yesterday and used the wrench from my girlfriends car but it was too big. Anyone know where I can get the right size wrench from?

Help please!!!

Also, where is the best jacking point for the car?

Have you not got a socket set or a hand book.

Your best bet would be to by a torque wrench with a long reach 3/4 socket set at about 85 pound/feet.

Your jacking points are just behind the front wheels and in front of your rear wheels at the intersection points. Dont forget to use a peice of rubber between jack a chassis to stop the powder coating cracking.

I have a hand book but no wrench.

As the wrench from my girlfriends and mums car didn't fit I thought I would ask if anyone knew what size the bolts were and where to get a the correct size wrench from.

I might just go and buy a socket set and see if that will do the job.

Get a long reach 19mm socket ... it'll save scratching your wheels!

Sorry, dont use a 3/4 socket use 19mm. A 3/4 socket is .05mm to big

I torque mine up to 65 ft.lbs by the way.

The Cerbera workshop manual (you can find this on the useful facts sticky at the top of this forum) recommended 55 ft.lbs, but that felt way too loose to me.

Obviously depending on the wheel but a 12x1.5 stud should be torqued to between 70 and 80 pounds/feet. I like the extra 5 pound/feet for peice of mind.

I stand corrected. I think I'll torque mine up a bit more. I wouldn't want to be overtaken by my own wheels!
