Headlamp Cover Removal

Probably a bad time of year to try this, with it being a bit chilly and all that, but have some dust/dirt inside Sag off-side headlight Seems there is a small gap in the sealant at the bottom. Strangely enough this is the the only light cluster that doesn't mist-up at all, must be the ventilation. Anyway, would like to remove, clean and reseal , but concerned I might crack it in the process and don't want to end upand Should I get hold of a spare first (assuming they are available), just in case, or just leave it until a hot sunny day?etc Details on any experiences much appreciated.

i have never taken the lenses off but i purchased a spare set for when i plan to take mine off in due coarse, as i have a similar problem with off side lens too , they are easy to get a hold of and not that expensive.i got a hold of some from a guy who manufactures lenses for the Sagairs and t350 on this site.I only spoke to a TVR indy late last year who reconds he could get a hold of some quite easily.

hi have taken my rear sag lenses of twice now getting better at it each time.have modded rear lights (and one had condensation thats why i did it in the first place)have no condensation any more.plan to take front ones of in the spring time.theirs an art taking them off with out breaking them,and an art cleaning/and sealing them back together. im in the double glazing trade so its not that bad for me.my car is on the pistonheads stand at nec fri sat sun if want to have a look or you can call me.the silicone is about £8 from a specilized place i found in coventry.my number is 07710335656 kiefh.
