Orange T350

Hi, all - not posted for a while but does anyone know the reputation of Cheshire TVR? I am looking at buying the Orange T350 they have but the milleage is low, and i have heard a lot of 2003 Speed 6 engines still go bang and would obviously prefer not to get caught....... the car has not had a rebuild and doesnt come with a warranty.... that i am aware of. what do you all think ? - It is petty!

The dealer has to give a 6 month warranty by law, but with a bit of haggling you should get 12 months thrown in. As for the car itself! drive it if it feels good buy it. Ignore or the sh*te about the Speed 6 engine, it's not as bad as people think. Look after it and it will be fine.

Looks quite a nice car, it has been for a sale for a long time now though, about 4-5 months.

Should be able to haggle a bit on the price!

For that money I would try to go for an 04 car. They did get more sorted as time went on so you would be better off buying as new as you can. IMHO you are better off with a later car with 10-15k on the clock rather than a 2003 with 5k on the clock.

He only gives 3 month warranties with his cars, or at least he did when I went to see him a few years back. He can extend them at cost though. HE might have changed since then though, amazes me how long it takes him to shift his cars though.

Can anyone tell me the dates from which these speed 6 engines improved for future reference,it seems to be around 2004 but is there a particular date,serial number etc.Sorry not very well informed on these engines,ask me about the TDV8 and i will tell you one of the best lumpy diesels ever built.Deisels by the way are those tractorish sort of engines to you petrol heads.I do own a V12 Aston before you slate me.Thanks for all future advice.
