T350 or Not??

I have been looking at the Porsche 996 for a few months... love the Targa but i have decided that £35k is too much for a car at my age...

Always loved TVRs... So i`m thinking of the T350. I think its stunning. I`ll be getting probs a 2004/2005 model with 10-15k miles on the clock.

The car will be pure for weekends... and trips to the Lake district and wales sometimes...

I need a car that wont break down...

Is a T350 a real hassle?

well... not break down too often....

look at any 911 forum... the 996 breaks down enough!!!

If you do your homework, buy a car with a warranty and look after it properly i.e. warm it up religously and keep it topped up with oil, it should be ok and if not the warranty will look after it for you.

T350 is a great car but to be realistic it is not in the league of build quality and reliability of a 996. Then again, its a lot less money and a lot more fun

I have had a couple of 996's and although I enjoyed them and found them to be very useable sports cars, they did lack that something special that the TVR seems to have in abundance.

There no hassle at all, I use mine at weekends for similar trips to what your planning, and the best purchase you'll prob make.
I'm your age also. Dont go for the porker! You can do that when your in your 40's and turn boring! I ran a 996 c4s for a short period a while back there so boring in comparision (build quality aside). Do your homework and buy the best you can afford.

Ive used mine as my everyday car (by choice) for nearly a year now come rain snow ice whatever. Never let me down once and love every single minute. A couple of annoying easy fix electrical glitches when i first got it ( drivers window !), other than that its an absolute joy

Be different be brave.
I use mine quite often yes you get a few little problems but the whole the car is worth every penny.
Nobody hardly ever gives a second look to a Porsche but a T350, weel people can't help themselves
