Why is this Saggy going so cheap??

I don't know the car but they have two, and the other one is a thousand pounds less.
The only reason I can see when comparing them to the others is mileage, they both have approx. 23k when everything else in the classifieds has 5-15.
Maybe the "all Speed6's go bang by 25 thousand miles, though obviously I've never owned on myself" brigade are having an impact on the prices off "higher" mileage cars.
Seems like a good opportunity to me, especially as there is a choice at the price.

It's the old press car, originally PF05 AMO.
It hung around in the PH classifieds for literally months (circa £33k) until DM bought it from the private seller (for a reported £30k) and marked it up by about £5k. DM then sold it, and by the looks of it they have bought it back again.
Be wary if you are thinking of buying it.

The Sagaris does seem to be fairly mileage sensitive. The difference between my car and one less than a year younger and with 11k miles less mileage was over £9k
The dealer also have one a very similar age to mine, different colour though, with 10k miles less than mine and is £7k more than mine was.
Edit: I'm not sure why a 2005 car would have a rear-facing exhaust though, unless it were a retro-fit?

Like most TVR's the Sagaris is sensitive to how the previous owner(s) has cared for the car, even on a car as new as 2005. This means that condition can vary considerably with regard to the engine (not just mileage related) and the general body, chassis and interior.
A well cared for car that has been owned by an enthusiast will always be more saleable than one that has just been driven, especially if press have had their mits on it! The plus side, however, is if you don't mind a car that is a bit more 'used' then you can save a few grand and take your chances (within reason!).

Looks like one of the former press cars but cant tell from the colour except its not purple paradise.
It had rear facing exhausts once mine had finished with them, the last sags had them.
Ignore KMPowell - he also commented that my car was tatty and to be avoided...!

Fair enough but the point I am making is dont take someones word on it - go and see for yourself

In other words its VERY tatty and only really suitable for somebody's collection or if they had a bottomless pocket of cash to throw at it e.g complete respray in a new colour due to Candy Apple no longer being available, engine rebuild etc etc
My car isnt tatty, sure a couple ie 3 stone chips on the nose like all cars, unique features...its the development car so yes its not production standard.
I most certainly dont have a bottomless pit of cash to throw at my cars, I am dreading the rebuild time when it happens as I will be paying like everyone else, as for a re-spray, when the time comes I will figure out a way and yes Candy Apple is available.
The press/development cars had a tough life yes but they were looked after so dont take things at face value because if I had - I wouldnt have ended up with one extreamly good looking, amazing, reliable, jaw dropping car....and thats just the Chim

If you read my post carefully (and not with your blinkered eyes) you will see that my actual words to the poster above was 'be wary', which is very sensible advice given the cars history. I didn't tell him to 'avoid' the purple car, the poster just needed to know it's not a run of the mill Sagaris and would need to go in with his eyes wide open if he was going to see it.Abosulte b

Does anyone here have or can point me in the direction of a 'points to look out for when buying a second hand saggy' list, also is there a list of common issues problems that need to be sorted on these cars.
Oh and where can these be serviced at a reasonable price in the London area, I don't mind travelling for a decent service just NOT hundreds of miles!!!

I know full well her 'history', but following her unwarranted post, she will be getting no 'respect' from me. I made a perfectly valid point about the purple car which could save the potential owner alot of heartache and open wallet surgery. That is what forums are for, and I make no apology for advising the poster to tread with caution.It is not my problem she chose to take it personally, ignoring what I ACTUALLY wrote and then go on a sanctimonious scribble against me which included taking my past posts out of context. The fact she has to go on and on about her cars in pretty much every post she makes, suggests something to me, however you can make your own mind up about why that is...
Respect is earned, it's not automatic due to given circumstances.

Catherine197 do I know you? Funny you should say that I am at my daughters in the States and had a jet ski accident 3 weeks ago broke my sternum 4 ribs damaged my liver and punctured a lung! Can't fly till lung has healed so sat bored sunbathing and praying to god I don't have to cough or sneeze!
