Tamora Radiator

Only discovered this because a new radiator I'd ordered was different to mine on arrival. The new one has both hose connections at the bottom of the radiator whereas mine has the usual one at the top and outlet at the bottom. Seemingly the T350 and some Tamoras have the former layout. I'm no engineer but would have thought that to move the coolant across the matrix it would need to enter at the top and exit at the bottom. Surely if both hoses are at the bottom it will take the easiest route to the outlet and not circulate through the rad.? Can someone explain this to me in simple terms? Thanks.

Have you fitted your rad, was it ok, i'm interested as i'm having a new rad fitted to my Tam.

Apparently the one I got was for a T350 but early Tamoras had the same. It was swapped for the correct one with top & bottom connections and is now fitted & functioning with some nice new blue hoses!

I got the all aluminium one (no horrid crimped side tanks) made by Radtech.

Are you fitting one before the Gaudix trip?

Do the aluminium rads last longer than the originals - my original has just been replaced and I've heard of quite a few others going as well? I heard of one chap who got through 3 replacements in as many months.

Built to last. They are all beautifully welded aluminium, no nasty crimped plastic sidetanks. In my experience it is at the crimped seal that they always leak.
